Chadwick Eason is currently on track to receive a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and Materials Science and Engineering, as well as a secondary degree in East Asian Studies, in May of 2013 from Harvard College. Chadwick spent about three months during the summer of 2012 working as an intern with the Simulation Group on the chest motion and eye blinking simulation projects under Mark Ottensmeyer. Chadwick used a combination of CAD software and Arduino micro-controllers to design and test various prototypes for the chest motion simulation project. He also created an original device that when placed flat on the facial surface of a mannequin’s head, simulated eye-blinking motions when activated. Chadwick also contributed to Paul Tessier’s chest motion simulation project by designing a casing that conveniently housed the motor inside a small cavity of the mannequin’s body.
